Cost-effective Truckwash Water Management - roof water harvesting and wastewater treatment.

STORM has designed and constructed truckwash treatment and recycling systems for Yass Valley and Weddin Shire Council's in southern/central NSW.  The systems include roof water harvesting from adjacent buildings and a state-of-the-art treatment system enabling recycling of the wash water.  The systems reduce mains water demand and facilitate pollution compliance. Golf Course Sustainable Water - stormwater harvesting, treatment and reuse.

STORM has designed a sustainable water management system at Gordon Golf Course for Ku-Ring-Gai Council.  The system provides several benefits including: mitigating peak flows downstream of the Golf Course, reducing mains water demand, and reducing pollutant loads to Lane Cove National Park downstream.  Click here for more details.

Rain Tank Specification Package for Councils and Subdivision Developments - STORM has developed a handy specification and guideline for rain tank configuration.  The specification has been commissioned by Goulburn, Kiama and Hastings Councils with a view to applying to all new residential developments in these LGAs.  They can also be produced for specific subdivision developments.  The facilitate compliance with relevant standards and codes and they provide plumbers with the necessary design guidance to connect up rain tanks for internal domestic use in two configurations - manual and auto by-pass mode, and for above and below ground tanks.  Further Guidance is provided to homebuyers by way of an information brochure explaining the beneficial use and operation of the plumbed rain tank.  For more details or to inquire about purchasing the Specification Package, click here, or contact Ashley Bond in our Illawarra office.

Sustainable Subdivision Planning - pushing the boundaries of sustainability.

STORM has undertaken a Water Cycle Management design in support of a rezoning application for the Harrington Park 2 and Mater Dei urban release areas near Camden, southwest of Sydney.  The Developers and Council set very stringent water quality and quantity targets for the development.  Through modelling, STORM was able to demonstrate 65% reduction in mains water use using a cost-effective water management system.  Click here for more details.
