Waterways - Streams & Watercourses

STORM undertakes planning and design of streams, especially in the urban environment.  Streams become degraded as a result of urbanisation requiring restoration or rehabilitation to bring back natural features and to improve habitat quality in catchments.  Stream design uses hydrology and hydraulics often relying on models as a design tool.  We construct using largely natural materials such as rock and vegetation (never concrete) and so our streams have a soft landscaped feel.  STORM creates stable and attractive stream systems upon which ecosystems flourish.  We also undertake Riparian Vegetation restoration and produce Vegetation Management Plans.  All our work is in compliance with DNR and DPI requirements.
